Open House

I may have mentioned in a recent entry that I will be having an open house on both House #1 and #2 this coming weekend. I plan to have the open house on House #2 this Saturday, and House #1 this Sunday. I've never had an open house, and it's been a while since I've even been to one, but I figure there can't be too much preparation aside from getting some cookies out, soda/waters in a fridge, flyers made, and a sign-in sheet out. Each open house will be scheduled for two hours. I put "OPEN HOUSE" signs in the yards already with a date/time on them so that people who drive by and see the other sign (and pick up a flyer) will know about the open house beforehand. I also put some ads on Craigslist about the upcoming open houses.

The RE agent that called me last Friday (or was it Saturday), called me again yesterday morning. He left a VM saying he was going to be golfing and won't be done until 3pm. He asked me to call him to see about showing House #1 to him and his father. I wasn't able to call him back until almost 3pm, and he said he didn't go golfing after all (we had terrible winds yesterday). He said he would still like to see the house, but it would probably be more like Thursday. He then said he'd call his dad right away and call me back with a definate date/time. The way he said it, I thought he'd call back within 10-15 mins. Well, here it is over 24hrs later, and I still haven't heard from him. This is actually the 2nd time he's called and said he'd call right back, but didn't. Oh well. If he calls before the weekend, I'll tell him just to come out during the open house. :-)

I still haven't heard back from that couple, either, who I showed House #1 to last week or the guy who I showed House #2 to the other night. Lots of nibbles, but no bites yet.
