Facebook Application Development

I ran across the following article, which talks about the recent release of the Facebook API and how this could potentially create a good stream of income for interested application developers. With the advent of social networking web sites and applications, like MySpace.com and Facebook.com, thousands upon thousands of clients are being added each day which plays right into the hands of what I was talking about several posts before - the Internet can create a wealth of income for the savvy businessman/businesswoman. I've already downloaded some documentation on the on the API, SQL, and markup language aspects. Now to come up with an application that users will flock to. The one interesting part of the article is how - at the end - they give a nice breakdown of what to avoid and what to concentrate on. What I'm wondering is when will MySpace.com do a similar thing (not if, but WHEN).
