The Call I Hate to Make and More Rants

After trying to do everything possible to make the latest deal a possibility, I came to the reality that it just wouldn't happen. So, as I always promise the sellers who call me, I picked up the phone and called the seller to tell her the bad news. I could tell from her tone and short answers, she wasn't pleased to hear me say I couldn't buy her house, but I did give her some tips on what she could do (like call the lender TODAY and tell them her situation, so they may be able to help her). I just hate making those calls.

I also got a call from the city where House #1 is located. Sorry for venting, but these people have got to be the most strict city I have ever seen! I put up ONE bandit sign last Satruday, and within two hours, it was down. A lady left me a voicemail on Tuesday from the City offices telling me to call a number and speak to a police officer. WTH?!?! It's a small, but growing, rural town outside of Austin, that had nothing but a feed store, two traffic lights, and maybe 20 houses about 5 years ago. They have no housing authority, yet find time to call me about my lone sign. #$@%@#$!!!! Oh, well. I actually can see their point about having "roadside spam" becoming a nuisance. However, I had planned to pick the sign up on Sunday evening. I guess two warnings are enough for me in that city.
