Well, I just learned my two outstanding bids for HUD foreclosures got shot down. I was actually biting my nails wondering what I'd do if I had won both, and then come to find out I didn't get either. Curses!
What really has me puzzled is I had the highest Net-to-HUD on one of them, yet lost. The ONLY plausible solution I can find is that the winner was an owner-occupant. My Net-to-HUD on this property was $103,500, and the winning bid's Net-to-HUD was $96,500 - a full $7,000 LESS.
Oh well. Back to the drawing board. Hopefully I'll get some nibbles later this week from my postcard mailout.
