Some News

Website

I updated my web site by reorganizing my pages and adding some dynamic features. The reorg is not really noticed by the user - I just had to get a lot of "band-aided" stuff cleaned-up in the way I had files organized. Also, being that my JOB is in emerging internet techologies and one of the projects I'm on deals with the new buzzword - AJAX (Asynchronous Javascript And XML) - I thought it best to add that feature into my website. Now, when a user clicks on one of the issues they may have on the front page, the data is dynamically added below on the same page, instead of having an annoying pop-up window. Also, since it's AJAX, the request is sent to the server for the specific data, so the entire page doesn't need to reload. Looks a lot appealing (to me, at least).

Tenant

I got a call from my tenant early this morning. I was in the shower at the time, and hadn't noticed the VM until I was leaving for work. It turns out he HAS gotten approved for a loan on a house he and his GF have been looking at, so he plans to move out next month - YIIPPIE! I still need to call him to get all the details, but it looks like I can put that tenant worry behind me sooner than expected, plus get the house on the market (and, hopefully, sold) sooner.

5 Unit

I feel like I'm living in the dark ages, having to communicate with these people out-of-state about the 5-unit. I sent the agent an email early this week, and followed up yesterday with another email (and VM) when I didn't get an answer. I've been running the numbers up/down/left/right and ever where in-between, but the only way I see this deal working is if I can (1) assumet the loan, (2) take the property subject-to the loan, or (3) have the owners take back ALL of the financing. I asked the agent to get me as much info on the owners as possible (if she legally can), so I had a better perspective of what options I can present now. Still no answer.
