Farming

I usually don't have a lot of time on my hands during the week to devote to REI, but I'm squeezing time in wherever and whenever I can. Generally, I go grocery shopping for the family by myself on Sunday mornings. On the drive to the grocery store, I usually go through a few local neighborhoods along the way to check out FSBO's, unkept lawns, abandoned homes, etc. so far, I haven't found anything that has really caught my eye. I just don't know if I'm looking in the right areas, if I'm looking through biased glasses, or what.

There is a duplex community on the way that always seems to have a lot of For Rent signs and an occassional For Sale sign. I guess I could call just to break the ice. I've only seen one that is FSBO/FRBO - all the others are listed by an agent.

I also take 30-60 mins on the way home from work each night looking through areas. I guess on average, I spend about 2-4 hours/week farming areas. I realize to be really good, I'll need to devote more time, but with a wife who's nonreceptive to the idea, a daughter who begs for my attention, and fulltime JOB, it gets tough to find minutes in a week.
