Getting off the Fence
After thinking about my present situation in my venture (which is going nowhere fast), I thought the best thing to do at the moment would be to subscribe to a pre-foreclosure service. It only costs $35/month, so I thought I would try it out for a month to see (1) what types and how many properties it would list, and (2) if I could get off the fence and start making some deals. The one thing I find myself doing over and over again is reading books and surfing the web, hoping to expand my knowledge of REI. As I've heard others say, people can spend a lifetime educating themselves on the subject, but doing so doesn't bring in any deals.
R. Allen Seminar
Robert Allen came through town this past Monday. I didn't go to the seminar, mainly because I've heard it's more of a 'get the crowd pumped-up to sell them some courses' type of seminar. Most of the things - if not all - are probably stuff I already know, anyway. Instead I went home and tried to recoup from a long day of work. It seems ever since I've started this venture, I have less and less time to do anything with it - and I haven't even made a deal yet! With Mr. Allen's seminar, I figure the market will be flooded with even more wannabe-REI's for the next several months.

Which service did you use to buy your pre-foreclosure list? Which counties?
