My Presentation

Over the last several weeks, I have hinted to my wife's parents about my eagerness in persuing RE investing. My mother-in-law always seemed interested, and I kept saying I would give her a presentation on what knowledge I had developed over the last few months on RE investing. Finally, on New Year's Eve I got my chance. I spent a good two hours covering just the basics of RE investing. I figure the presentation would only last 30-60 minutes tops, but she kept interuppting with some good questions. When my presentatoin was over, she came across with a better understanding of a lot of things, and came away with a new outlook on the whole venture. She seemed a little put-off with Lease Optioning, as she and her husband have a close friend who had never-ending horror stories about renters (he was a RE investor himself - mainly commercial, but also residential). I think her friend's bad experiences as a landlord has left her with a sour taste when it comes to anything dealing with tenants - whether it be strictly landlording or even lease optioning. All-in-all, though, I think I have an ally. Unfortunately, during my presentation, my wife's attention was almost 98% focused on watching our daughter. I had hoped she would have an epephamy after listening to my 'speach', but it was not to be.
