ARGH - More utilities

I got home yesterday to find a piece of mail from the city where house #1 is located. In my city (which is different), the water, sewer, and garbage is all on one bill. Evidentally, in the city where house #1 is located, the water is handled by a MUD (Municipal Utility District) and the sewer is handled by the city. So, I get a notice from the city that I need to pay them a deposit of $100 for sewer, or they will have the water shut off (they have a deal with the MUD to do this). I still haven't started the gas service, either, because ... I don't need it. If I go to rent/lease this place out, though, I'll need to have everything working (but not necessarily in my name).

Here in my city, all the utilities are seperate. It sure makes it difficult when you're trying to make sure you've paid everything each month!

Yeah, I thought the water and sewer would be the same, but was wrong. I haven't checked into the garbage pickup at all, since I don't have trash to put out there. So the garbage and gas are the only holdouts. I just hope when time comes, I don't get some big surprise from either of them. :-/
