Out Sick

A colleague of mine at work returned the other day from China. He got married over there and returned with a cold. Since I am a cold magnet, I got it sick the very next day. I went to work only half a day Wed and missed all day yesterday. I still feel a little exhausted, but I have a lot to do at work, and it can't wait another day (note: one more reason to quit my JOB).

while I was out, my agent sent me the docs for Offer #18. The seller is a small husband/wife investment company who owns a few houses in the area. They've owned this particular property since 1986 (according to my research). They are asking for a $100 offer fee with my offer. Since I had some time to think about it, I'd rather swing by the house first and get a good look at it before submitting my offer. I guesstimated $20k in repairs - $8k of which is an estimate from a company to come out and level the foundation - but I want to see if the unleveled foundation has caused any extensive damage inside the house. For all I know, the house needs to have major repairs done on the infrastructure that will far exceed the remaining $12k I guesstimated.

Also, yesterday, my loan officer's office called. I stopped by there this past Tuesday to (reluctantly) pay for the appraisal and resign some paperwork. Well now the lady said she made some errors on the paperwork, and I have to come in and resign them again! Luckily, their office is only a couple of miles from work, but I won't be able to get there until next Monday. I guess this will probably delay the closing a few days (or a week). BAH!

Happy Good Friday everyone!
