I received a response from my RE agent earlier today regarding the status of my outstanding offers. Looks like the bad news just keeps on a coming ...
Offer #3: Two bids higher than mine pending.
Offer #4: Offer rejected w/no counter.
Offer #6: "Off market" (I'm assuming OO bid won.)
Offer #8: I'm in 2nd position. Going to close tomorrow.
Offer #10: I didn't submit a bid. Property already on contract.
Offer #11: In 2nd position. First is still in deal.
Offer #12: Got PQ letter for $190k (whoopie!). Ned to submit offer.
Offer #13: Dropped out.
Offer #14: Seller is Homevestors. Dropped out after learning this.
Offer #15: In process of submitting bid.
Offer #16: In process of submitting bid.
So, before the two I submitted today, I made a total of 13 offers. Two are in 2nd position and will probably be rejected. The others I was either outbid or intentionally dropped out, since I knew my offers would be rejected. Not counting the two in 2nd position, I will have a total of three still active. Interestingly enough, I think offer #12 (which will be around $190k) may be the most promising. I qualify for financing, and it needs very little repairs. If I can buy it cheaply, clean it up a little, and resell at a discount to move it quickly, I'll get some needed cash reserves.
