Insurance Wiped Out My Raise

Earlier this year, I got a small raise that amounted to roughly $100 more a month in my pocket (after taxes, 401k, and so on) - yippie. Well, each year about this time, our company sends out information abot medical/dental/vision coverage for the next year. I found out if I keep my current coverage and add the expecting twins to the coverage, that $100/mo. raise vanishes (actually, it vanishes and I pay a few more dollars). It's unbelievable to me how health care costs have skyrocketed in the last decade or so. I just wonder when I decide to leave my company to do my venture fulltime, how much costs will take a chunck out of any revenue I make.
