I received a formal offer on House #2 from my agent. It's a little lower than I liked, so I countered slightly higher (not a whole lot). Interestingly, I have a $2k bonus in the listing description, yet the contract didn't mention it at all. In fact, there is a section for just that type of thing, but it was filled in with $0.00. My agent said that legally, since it is not mentioned in the contract and that they entered "$0.00" where they should have entered the value, I don't have to pay it, but suggested mentioning it in the "Special Provisions" section as being included in the purchase price. Will talk more about this later.
Also, the contract has the OLD owners name as the sellers. I'm assuming they are using an old tax record to get this info, which is something else I'll talk about later.
