I received the addendum over the weekend and had to take it home yesterday so my wife could also sign. First thing this morning, I faxed it to my agent. I also called my loan officer's office yesterday to tell the people to go ahead with the new loan terms. Yesterday was the cut-off for them to send the paperwork to the lender. There is no definate closing date, but everyone feels it will be the middle of next week. Time to check that I have all my closing costs lined up.

My RE agent told me via email that the seller is getting inpatient with the 1st buyer in line, and is ready to start dealing with other buyers. His contract calls for a $100 option consideration that is good for 7 or 10 days (I forget which at the moment), so the option period ran out at midnight last night. Therefore, I am still in the running.

I received the contract and finance addendum from my agent yesterday on this property. It needs extensive work (I figure $15k-$16k, but put $20k in the calculation for my offer). I need to review, sign, and resend it to my agent. If I get this property, I'll probably flip it to another investor for a small fee.
